Created around 1950, the 9205 table lamp embodies Paavo Tynell 's timeless aesthetic, combining understated elegance with exceptional craftsmanship. Slender and refined, this lamp's seemingly simple silhouette conceals a craftsmanship of rare precision.

The lampshade, available in canvas or bamboo, reflects this requirement: in the canvas version, the fabric is carefully stretched over a lining, then attached by hand to a metal structure. The bamboo version, meanwhile, revisits Taito's original design with a contemporary approach: thin slats are hand-sewn to form a pleated mat, before being assembled to the lining and frame.

The lamp's shaft, adorned with a pattern reminiscent of rattan weaving, is precision-machined on a lathe by a master metalworker. A screwed-on brass plate holds the lampshade in place with finesse and stability.
