Rio coffee table – A design masterpiece by Charlotte Perriand

The Rio coffee table is an iconic piece of modern design, conceived by Charlotte Perriand in 1962. Originally, it was designed as a set of two tables. In 1967, a larger version was specially created for the Japanese Embassy in Paris, highlighting its artistic and functional character.

A sculptural and timeless design

Its structure consists of six solid wood segments, each with a different and offset radius, creating a captivating jagged silhouette. Faithful re-edition by Cassina

Thanks to the exceptional craftsmanship of the artisans of Meda, in the Brianza region north of Milan, Cassina re-edited Charlotte Perriand's original model in 1962, scrupulously respecting the lines and materials of the original creation.
